I haven’t written anything lately as you might have noticed. I’ve been pretty busy with life in general and just haven’t taken time to do much else. I did sneak out last Saturday to play in a golf club mixer and my team won. Yeah! Outside of that it’s pretty much been work, house stuff and more work. No complaints, though.

I did make a small purchase last week. Okay, maybe it’s not so small. Canon recently released a new camera labeled the 7D. It’s been out for about two weeks now and I was lucky enough to grab one from an online retailer that I’ve used before. It arrived last Thursday, but I have yet to take a photo with it. I’m so disappointed, but as I said I’ve been pretty busy. My camera prior to this purchase is the Canon 40D and it’s great! I really wasn’t looking to upgrade, but the 7D has some really nice improvements that caught my attention enough to make me want to grab it. One of the newest features is that it can shoot HD video. I never thought this would interest me, especially since I always felt a camera is better when it dedicates itself to one format. Well, technology has changed and I think this might be a fun tool to use. From the looks of it I have some learning to do, but I look forward to the challenge. I’ll be heading out to Yosemite NP for an all day photo excursion with the 7D on Monday. Assuming the weather cooperates I’ll have some photos to post soon after.
